Who is responsible
The Mali Investment Promotion Agency (API-Mali), P.O. Box 1980, Bamako, is the controller. The Forum is organised by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce through API-Mali.
Groupe La Centrale, the official agent, builds the website, the app and the back office on behalf of API-Mali. It does not use this data for its own purposes.
What we collect
Only the data needed to take part is requested.
- Account: email address, telephone number, and a password stored only as a hash.
- File: name, portrait photograph, job title, country, nationality, biography and organisation.
- Participation: chosen programme, agenda, meeting requests and messages exchanged with another participant.
- Badge: the badge identifier and its signed contents, stored on the phone so the entrance at CICB can read it without a network.
- Technical: a notification token, and connection logs used to keep the service secure.
- Camera, only for staff scanning a badge. Photo library, only if you choose a portrait.
Why
This data is used to create the account, process the file, issue the badge, control access to the Bamako International Conference Centre, show the programme and the agenda, send forum notifications, and make business meetings possible.
They are also used for the report that closes the edition, which the organiser requires. They are not sold. The app does not use an advertising identifier and shows no advertising.
Who can see it
API-Mali and, for the technical work, Groupe La Centrale. The providers that run the service: Supabase for the database and authentication, Vercel for the website and the API, Resend for transactional email, Firebase for notifications.
Apple and Google receive this data only to distribute the app. Another participant sees only what you send them — a message, a meeting request — and what your directory visibility allows.
How long
Data is kept for the 2026 edition and for the report that follows it. You can ask for it to be erased before then. The badge stored on the phone is removed when you delete the app or sign out.
Your rights
Mali’s Law No. 2013-015 of 21 May 2013 on the protection of personal data gives you the right to access, correct, object to and erase your data. A complaint can be sent to the data protection authority (APDP).
Write to us
To use these rights, write to API-Mali. For a question about how the website or the app works, write to the agent.
